The old Court House building sits on land donated by Henry DeLand. A political struggle once took place over placement of the County Seat at the Court House. The architecture of the structure and rotunda are in the grand neo-classical design. A chime still sounds from the clock tower. The rotunda ceiling is decorated in stained glass and the walls are adorned with the Florida paintings of Jackson Walker. The interior of the Court House and paintings are only open to the public during weekdays.
