The landmark Highwaymen Trail Obelisk is located at the round-a-bout at Avenue D and 15th Street in Historic Lincoln Park. It was created by noted Florida artist Stephanie Jaffe Werner.\n\nThe 19-feet tall 5-feet wide stone pillar illustrates the varied styles of painting of the group with the signature red poinsettia on the square or pyramidal top portion facing south and west; the south base is a portrait that captures Livingston "Castro" Roberts painting in his backyard; the north base is a portrait of a car trunk with paintings staged inside which is symbolic of the group's method of selling their art along the highways; and the portrait at the base west is a tablet of the history of the group.
