  • Heron Pond

Take a walk around our Heron Pond. See how many birds and iguanas you can find.

This pond, behind the train station, is a popular spot for a variety of different Florida birds. Here you'll find both the White Heron and the Black Crowned Night Heron, and you may spot a Roseate Spoonbill, an endangered and protected species. Another wading bird, the American White Ibis, walks through the shallows looking for tasty morsels like small fish and crustaceans like crayfish. The pond is also the main area for our disc golf course, a challenging 9 hole course that provides nice views of the pond and hammock.
