The Florida Humanities Council is an independent, nonprofit affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities. Our mission is to build strong communities and informed citizens by providing Floridians with the opportunity to explore the heritage, traditions and human stories of our state. Based in the Tampa Bay area, our various programs span the entire state of Florida.
"Florida Stories," is our walking tour app featuring multi-stop tours of 17 Florida towns and counting. The user-friendly free tours are designed to be done at each individual’s own pace. Each tour aims to offer engaging historical content that highlights the uniqueness of our great state. We hope you enjoy the app!
